You finally get some of my pictures with a brief summary of why they are what they are.
First off, before we even got our cameras together, we learned to take pictures with a CAN! Canera... It was the pinhole project where we had a can with a small hole drilled in it to let in a little light. Inside, we placed light sensitive paper. We would uncover the hole to reveal the scenery to the paper and depending on how bright it was, we would leave it uncovered anywhere between 1 second and 3 minutes. It was around this time also, we were JUST learning to develop light-sensitive paper.

This is the result: a negative.
(Though this was a bad picture, I can't find my other photos.)
Eventually, we learned how to turn these into positives with just light. So here was the result:

About a week later, we finally started running our cameras. Our first project with them was to find a visual metaphor for the following words:
High Point
Familiar
Too Much
12 Midnight
The End
Love
Three
Contemplation
Warning!
Electric
Sharp
Red
Reflection
Movement
Soft
Cold
Closed
New/Old
Single
Oversized
Intimidating
Hot
Energy
Music
Community
Shadow
Heres just a glimpse of some of the pictures I took for this project:
(These are the expanded versions)

Now that we had some experience with the cameras, we started getting more restrictions. In this project, we were supposed to work with leading lines. I didn't do anything fancy...

I missed the next project, but we focused on different types of lighting: Silhouette, Direct, and Diffused.
We recently took pictures OF OURSELVES. We weren't allowed to include anyone we knew, no one could take the picture for us. Due to safety reasons, only one of these photos are allowed to be posted, so here you have it.

Just a couple of days ago, we were supposed to take 24 pictures of one object at different angles to make the viewer look at an object differently. I selected a camera, but my lens sucks with close-range pictures, so most of these are blurry. If there's enough time after posting this, I'll probably make an enlarged picture or two of this project.
